Guidelines for Posting Comments

The Darien Community Matters Blog is an online non-partisan forum for discussion of issues of interest to the citizens of Darien. We welcome your comments and invite you to join in the conversation. We ask you to please follow a few simple guidelines to ensure that the blog is a civil forum for discussion of Darien issues.

• Avoid personal attacks.
• Do not use foul language.
• Do not post a news story without citing the source. (This is
plagiarism and is strictly prohibited.)
• Do not solicit for goods or services. (This will be considered spam and is not allowed.)
• Stay on topic and review your comment before submitting it.
• Anonymous comments will not be allowed (Screen names are okay).

We review each comment before it is posted. If your comment violates the guidelines, we will make minor edits or ask you to edit it and re-submit it.

Is there any possibility that New Canaan would invite Darien residents to their fireworks display if we invite them to our beaches?

Darien residents Randi-Jean G. Hedin and Laura Jachino, and Kathleen K. Lundquiest, President of Darien-headquartered company, APT, diligently serve as volunteers on the board of The Volunteer Center of Southwestern Fairfield County (TVC).
Ms. Hedin, Chairman of the Board since June 2004, is Partner in Kelley Drye & Warren's Stamford Office.
Ms. Jachino is Manager of Corporate Giving for The Thomson Corporation where she runs the Corporation's strategic giving program.
APT's Dr. Lundquist is a nationally recognized expert in organizational psychology. Her Darien-headquartered company is an HR consulting firm.
The Volunteer Center serves nonprofit organizaitons, employers and individuals in the towns of Darien, New Canaan, Greenwich and Stamford.
