Statement:

Rising property taxes are inevitable, but the Board of Assessment Appeals attempts to see that each property owner is treated equitably and fairly. We look at how each property’s unique characteristics and its value in relation to neighbors and comparables led to is assessed value and then make adjustments if necessary. A very thorough knowledge of Darien and how real estate is valued is key to being an effective judge of the assessment process. I believe my professional experience and experience on the Board of Assessment Appeals provides me ample knowledge to serve another term.
