Darien's Emergency Preparedness Plans
In the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, coastal communities are taking a fresh look at their emergency plans. The town's Emergency Preparedness Plan was prepared in 2002 and is currently being revised. A print copy of the plan is available at the Darien Library Information Desk.
Visit the Darien Office of Emergency Management’s website for more information about the town’s emergency plans.
A recent New York Times article, “Which Way to Go: What's the Plan to Get Out of Town?” compared several Connecticut communities’ emergency plans, including Darien.
For more information on how to prepare for an emergency, drop by the Information Desk to pick up a copy of the Connecticut Guide to Emergency Preparedness.
