Is anyone out there disappointed to know that the town will be taking down our existing street signs (which, though perhaps hard to read, have a lot of character--if you ask me) and replacing them with bright new reflective ones?

Call me old and in the way, but I like our understated signs a lot more than the new ones, and to me, what's happening with the signs is another symptom of the homogenization of America's small towns and suburbs. Sad!

It's been a while and perhaps I missed the latest update, but I am still very interested in hearing more about the on going discussions to limit the use of the town's fire horns. Does anyone have any insight?
