I look forward to working with Paul Hendrickson on the Board of Selectmen. He is a great addition and was unanimously supported by the RTC on June 1 and the BoS yesterday, June 13.
There are several issues in front of us including Affordable Housing, Commuter parking, Municipal parking, the potential choice of joining a Health District. All require intelligent debate to determine what will be good for Darien now and in the near future.
Each of our decisions have to be balanced with the needs of the town and its ability to support these decisions. As Frank Penn counselled me,
"When you make a decision, ask, 'What will this look like in 5 years? In 20 years.'" Good advice.
