Emergency Preparedness Workshop for Seniors
In today’s world severe weather and terrorism are realities, creating situations when you might need to leave your home. There is no such thing as being too prepared. A workshop will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2006, 10 a.m.-11a.m. at the Senior Center, Edgerton St., Darien. The workshop is being offered by Troop 53 Darien Boy Scouts and sponsored by The Darien Unit of the Salvation Army, Darien Red Cross and Darien Social Services. The first 50 senior citizens to arrive at the presentation will receive a free Salvation Army emergency kit. (One per family).
