Don't Forget to Vote

Tomorrow, Tues. Nov. 7 is Election Day! Don't forget to cast your ballot for state-wide office holders, U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative, State Senator, State Representative, and town Board of Education members.

The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Click here to find your polling place. Take a look at the CT League of Women Voters' Voters Guide before you head to the polls.

It's Election Time Again!

To help you prepare for Election Day, the Darien League of Women Voters is holding two voter education events. Candidates Night will take place Tues., Oct. 24 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in Town Hall Auditorium. Come meet the candidates for State Senator and State Representative. Bob Duff, Democrat and Fred Wilms, Republican are the candidates for the District 25 State Senate seat. The District 27 State Senate candidates are Rick Giordano, Republican and Andrew J. McDonald, Democrat. John J. Ryan, Republican, is the candidate for District 141 State Representative.

On Friday, November 3rd, less than a week before the election, voters will have an opportunity to meet the BOE candidates for coffee at Darien High School from 9:15 to 11 a.m. The candidates are: George A. Reilly, Democrat; John V. Boulton, Republican; and Elizabeth Hagerty-Ross, Republican.

The deadline to register to vote is Tues., Oct. 24. If you haven't registered to vote yet, you may download the form from the Registrar of Voters website and mail it or bring it to the Registrar of Voters' office. For more information on voting, visit the CT League of Women Voters' website.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 7th.

Today's Democratic Primary

Today, Democrats go to the polls to select a candidate for U.S. Senate and a candidate for CT governor. Visit the Registrar of Voters web page to find your polling place. Polls are open until 8 p.m.

View the League of Women Voters Guide to the 2006 CT Primary to learn more about the candidates. At the CT Secretary of State's website, you may view a complete list of candidates who will appear on the ballot throughout Connecticut.
