Learn about global warming at the Library
Seen the movie? Heard about it on the news? Want to understand more?
Come learn about Climate Change & what you can do about it.
The Darien Environmental Group is pleased to host an evening workshop to learn about the science of global warming, the consequences of climate change, and strategies for a “Carbon-neutral Lifestyle”.
The workshop will be led by Barbara Deutsch, a landscape architect who has worked on re-greening cities from Hong Kong to Washington, DC. Barbara was selected by The Climate Project to be one of 1,000 people trained by Al Gore to give the powerpoint presentation on global warming shown in the Academy Award-winning movie “An Inconvenient Truth”.
The interactive workshop will include the updated powerpoint presentation, a new module with strategies for what you can do to make a difference, and an opportunity for discussion.
So don’t be overwhelmed-- bring your questions and get started. We hope to see you there.
