Lunching with the League

Last week, I attended the League of Women Voters' Town Officials lunch at the Depot. Attendees were treated to tasty sandwiches and a chance to hear what's on the minds of our elected officials. This event was only open to League members. For more info about joining the League, click here.

First Selectwoman Evonne Klein, RTM Moderator Karen Armour, Board of Finance Chair Craig Curtis, Board of Education Vice Chairperson Kim Westcott, and Planning and Zoning Chair Fred Conze each spoke about their accomplishments and priorities. To read an official's remarks, click on his or her name. The First Selectwoman described the Board's five priorities, its strategies, and the budget process. She also addressed affordable housing, flooding, and public health. Chairman Conze spoke about downtown development, affordable housing, and flooding.
